Bailey & Elliott wedding at Diamond Oak Events in Mason City, Iowa

Bailey & Elliott’s wedding day was one for the books. They were both so down to earth and caring. It felt like I was spending the day with friends instead of “clients.”

The Proposal

The proposal story is one of my favorite things to share for wedding blogs. And Bailey & Elliott have the most beautiful love story!

“After what felt like forever (three and a half years to be exact), Elliott had given me the sweetest coupon for Valentine’s Day, good for one trip to Stadheim Jewelers, for a date to go looking at my idea of an engagement ring. Although I had requested to go the very next day, the date didn’t occur until mid-March, but it was just as special. Fast forward to the middle of June… Elliott had been on the annual “June Trip” with some of his family members, fishing in Minnesota. He had been gone for about five days and by the end of the trip, he must have been missing me a little more than usual. I finished my day at work and rushed home as I was excited for Elliott’s return. I didn’t get any further than the entryway to our home to find Elliott on one knee, ring box open and in hand, with Winnie at his side. Our Golden Doodle puppy was wearing a sign around her neck that read, “Will you marry my dad?” Tears in both of our eyes, I said “YES!” and the rest is history. We can’t wait to get married!”

“From start to finish, what a dream of a day. A day that would and could not have been without the support and love from our family and friends. Several traveling from Arizona, Washington, Maryland and everywhere in between. We also have to believe that our late grandparents had their hands in creating such a magical Memorial Day weekend. One we will never, ever forget.”
