Jennifer and Nick’s Wedding at the Oster Regent Theatre in Cedar Falls

Jennifer and Nick’s wedding at the Oster Regent Theatre was one for the books! I was really excited when I learned Jennifer would be getting ready in my favorite bridal suite at the Blackhawk Hotel (all of the rooms are so cute & cool!). This room gives major moody-vibes and just photographs so, so well!

Also, I just have to share one of the most real proposal stories, ever (I personally love it because I can literally picture the chaos that comes with trying to get your dogs to do what you want them to do, l o l l l l ) :

“Nick and I went for a walk with the dogs through the woods. It was muddy so it was clear that I didn’t want to go on the soft trails with the dogs as they’d get very muddy. Nick took us down the muddy trail anyway, so I followed grumpily. Simon (5 lb chihuahua) was getting stuck so I picked him up to carry him. I got caught up in some stickabures and Nick yelled to catch Kaya (golden retriever). I was not prepared but she did sit down perfectly next to me. Nick told me to smile for a picture, so I did, but Kaya took off running down the trail. Nick chased after very panicked and brought her back to me to try to get the picture again. I’m getting agitated because I’m in the mud and getting stuck with thorns. In the process, Kaya runs off again. Haha. Nick brings her back and I’m getting tangled in 2 leashes. I’m not seeing that Kaya has a tag on her collar so Nick asks me what’s on her. I told him she probably got caught in something and if he could just get it off. He said to just forget it and at that point, the light bulb went off for me. I grabbed my ring off a ribbon from her collar with a tag that said, “will you marry me?” I, of course, answered yes”
