Paul and Jessica had such a beautiful wedding at Nazareth Lutheran Church! They were the absolute sweetest couple to work with. Their proposal story will just melt your heart!
Per Jessica: We arrived to get our pictures taken at a state park down by Iowa City and we took a couple pictures, and then she instructed Paul to stand behind me with his arms around me. They had worked this out beforehand that this was the signal for the proposal. So Paul reaches his right hand around me and is holding a ring in his hand and whispers in my ear, ” I have a surprise for you.”
I saw the ring and was totally shocked and turned around and he was down on one knee. It meant so much to me that he had this special moment photographed for us to be able to enjoy for a lifetime. After that he told me I couldn’t get on my phone or tell anyone about it just yet. We went to Solon and stopped at Big Grove brewery to have a drink and when I walked in my sisters and mom were there and that is when the tears started rolling. I am very close with my family and Paul knows they mean the world to me. After there we all went to dinner where Paul’s mom and stepdad met us as well and it was a surprise to them that we got engaged.”
Their wedding was truly a special day! Jessica’s dress by Sottero & Midgley was one of the most beautiful dresses I’ve ever seen. The best part about the reception? Herky the Hawk made an appearance!
