These two were the most laid back and easy going! They let their sweet pup play freely while we strolled along. Occasionally they were sprayed with a good old shake from their dog (who was having the best day EVER, jumping in and out of the ponds!)
It was so fun getting to know these two a little and I absolutely cannot wait for their wedding at Country View Acres in Joice, IA next year!!
The proposal story: Hunter’s dad and business partner Kevin put on a yearly ice fishing tournament called the Yellow Bass Bonanza in Clear Lake. This is a weekend Hunter and I along with friends look forward to every year. We have been volunteers for years helping set up for the banquet the night before, handing out prizes, helping set up the tournament, inspection, and counting fish. This year Hunter volunteered us to do a random name drawing for the women’s prizes. We had just finished giving out what I thought was the last prize when Hunter said wait there’s one more. He picked out a name from the bucket, or so I thought – apparently he had one stashed in his pocket that he dropped in last minute, then gave it to me, and it said “will you marry me” then he got down on one knee and asked me to be his fishing partner for life. Best part about it is he had my parents, family, and closest friends hidden behind a curtain that got to see the surprise too. Not only did Hunter turn 24 this night, but he also locked me in for life! February 10, 2018 is a night I won’t forget!”
