Where to even begin with this one? An amazing couple, a wonderful venue, and a really fun wedding party. The best recipe for a great wedding!
I think this was probably one of my more anticipated weddings this year (mainly because after I made a comment somewhere about bringing a megaphone to weddings, Ellen chimed in with, “You should, we have a rowdy bunch!” I knew right then it would be a fun one! Haha.
I love their super cute proposal story so much:
“Hunter’s dad and business partner Kevin put on a yearly ice fishing tournament called the Yellow Bass Bonanza in Clear Lake. This is a weekend Hunter and I along with friends look forward to every year. We have been volunteers for years helping set up for the banquet the night before, handing out prizes, helping set up the tournament, inspection, and counting fish. This year Hunter volunteered us to do a random name drawing for the women’s prizes. We had just finished giving out what I thought was the last prize when Hunter said wait there’s one more. He picked out a name from the bucket, or so I thought – apparently he had one stashed in his pocket that he dropped in last minute, then gave to me, that said “will you marry me” then he got down on one knee and asked me to be his fishing partner for life. Best part about it is he had my parents, family, and closest friends hidden behind a curtain that got to see the surprise too. Not only did Hunter turn 24 this night, but he also locked me in for life! February 10, 2018 is a night I won’t forget!”
